TANABBO DB Inputs

Input data

It is necessary to store all data into geographical database with standard structure to enable run modules on automatic basis and also for the purpose of creating models for different areas and space of time. Layers are divided to thematic groups and then they are stored into mapsets of GRASS software. Also standard names of layers are used, this approach speed up the process of modules.

_DATA

This is not GRASS folder, but it is folder that contains files with configurational and input data in txt-format:
Satellite images:

  • landsat_list.txt: list of Landsat images
  • year_list.txt: list of years

Air temperature interpolation

  • tgrad_std.txt: standard temperature gradient of Slovak republic, rows are in following form

Meteorological data:

  • md_ms.txt: list of meteorological station, entry is in following form <mid> <y> <elev> <slope> <aspect>
  • md_tmin_<mid>.txt: minimal air temperature (°C) on meteorological station number <mid>, row has following form <day number> <value>
  • md_tmax_<mid>.txt: maximal air temperature (°C) on meteorological station number <mid>, row has following form <day number> <value>
  • md_tmean_<mid>.txt: mean air temperature (°C) on meteorological station number <mid>, row has following form <day number> <value>
  • md_prec_<mid>.txt: daily total rainfalls (mm/m2) on meteorological station number <mid>, row has following form <day number> <value>
  • md_gsr_<mid>.txt: global solar radiation (MW/m2) on meteorological station number <mid>, row has following form <day number> <value>

DEM

  • dem: height above sea level (metres)
  • slope: slope (in degrees)
  • aspect: orientation (in degrees)

FOREST

  • s50age: age of spruce stands (>50)
  • s50dens: stand density of spruce stands (0-100%)
  • s50mask: forest stands with representation of spruce >= 50%
  • s50perc: representation of spruce in forest stands in %
  • s50volha: volume on hectare (m3/ha)
  • bb_spot_<yyyy>: total spots of bark beetle in year <yyyy>
  • bb_nspot_<yyyy>: new spots of bark beetle in year <yyyy>

LANDSAT

  • LANDSAT images and derived vegetation indexes
  • <yyyy><mm><dd>_tm<i>: Landsat image TM, band i, <yyyy> year, <mm> month, <dd> day
  • ndvi_<yyyy>: NDVI index for year <yyyy>
  • nsc2_<yyyy>: NSC2 index for year <yyyy>

SHP

  • meteo_station: position of meteorological stations
  • bbtrap: position of catchers, every catcher must have attribute integer type and atribute double type
  • other vector layers imported from shape files (borders of forest stands, rivers, roads, residences)

TOPO

  • topographical data necessary for creating output maps compositions in raster format
